Water with the dissolved minerals taken out of it. Tap water carries calcium, magnesium and salts in solution; when it dries on glass or paintwork those minerals stay behind as spots and streaks. Take them out and the water dries clear.
Total dissolved solids, measured in parts per million. UK tap water typically runs somewhere between 150 and 400ppm depending on where you are. At 0ppm there is nothing left in the water to leave a mark, which is what makes a water-fed pole work without you going back to buff the glass.
In stages. Sediment and carbon filtration first, to take out particles and the chlorine that would otherwise attack the membrane. Then reverse osmosis, which does most of the work. Then a de-ionising stage that removes what the membrane let through. Each stage exists to protect the one after it.
It will not hurt you, but it is not sold as drinking water and it is not what it is for. It tastes flat, because taste in water comes largely from the minerals we have just removed.
Window cleaners, car detailers and valeters, solar panel cleaners, and fishkeepers making up tank water. Beyond that it turns up anywhere a residue would be a problem: laboratory glassware, steam irons, cooling systems, some vet and dental equipment.
You pull up, you dispense into your tank or your container, and you pay at the kiosk for what you have taken. There is nobody to book with and nobody to wait for.
The stations are built around filling a tank in a van rather than a bottle at a tap, so it is minutes rather than a job you plan your day around.

No. There is no joining fee, no monthly charge and no minimum. If you take twenty litres you pay for twenty litres.
Yes. Every fill produces a VAT compliant receipt so it goes straight into your books.
It might, and if it does the screen will say so before you dispense. What we will not do is quote you 4.4p per litre here and charge something else at the kiosk.
Roughly a parking bay of hard standing, a mains water connection, a power supply, and access a van can use outside office hours without a gate to unlock.
That is agreed site by site, because a busy trade estate and a quiet village yard are not worth the same to us. We would rather make you an offer we can stand behind than publish a headline figure and negotiate away from it.
Nothing. We pay for the unit, the survey, the installation and the servicing. You are not buying equipment and you are not maintaining it.
Still useful, and still worth something. Introduce us, and if it becomes a station we will agree a fee with you before anything is signed.
